Chicken BBQ bread – Italian bread stuffed with cheese and BBQ Chicken is perfect for an evening Tea or an appetizer.
It’s Recipe Tuesday today!! Woot Woot. Over the weekend, I made this delicious bread and I paired with some spring rolls and tea. Weekends are the only time when I spend time with my family and the rest of the week it’s crazy. Anyway, back to this tasty bread. It is super easy and quick to make.
The Ingredients you will need.
Disclaimer: Please keep in mind this recipe is for a half loaf of bread if you are looking to make more, for example of one full loaf, then obviously, you should double the recipe.
- 1 Cup Boneless Chicken
- ¼ cup BBQ Sauce (I used the local supermarket brand).
- ½ cup Mozzarella cheese shredded
- ¼ cup Red onions sliced
- 1/8 cup Chopped cilantro (green coriander)
- salt (Pinch)
- ½ Italian Bread.
Preheat oven to 350° F (180° C).
In a bowl mix all the ingredients well which includes chicken, BBQ sauce, onions, a pinch of salt, cilantro and half portion of mozzarella cheese. Once they all are mixed, leave it aside. If you think that the mixture is too dry then add some more BBQ sauce.
To stuff the filling, you must cut the top edge of the bread to create a well 1 ½ inch deep. Spoon the filling into the well and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top. It will look something like this.
Take an aluminum foil and place it on the baking tray. Place the bread on it and bake it for 10-15 minute. Before removing make sure the cheese is melted well. I also broil it on low broil setting for 2 minutes to get the golden look.
